Lenovo S930 is Officially Released in Indonesia, Offered Price Equal with Lenovo S920

Lenovo S920 gets its successor

One of Lenovo Android smartphone released in last 2013 is Lenove S920. Many people wait for it because it becomes the first offered by Lenovo Indonesia with MediaTek 6589 quad-core chipset, also the HD screen with wide dimension, 5.3 inch. Firstly Lenovo S920 exists, it is offered with Rp. 3.2 million price in last mid September with 4 GB ROM. Firstly offered with white color with glossy finishing polycarbonate plastic material and then appears blue color variant with matte finishing which is more durable from screen scratch.

Lenovo then provides new variant with 8 GB ROM memory, suitable for those who are lazy to crack because like other Lenovo smartphones, 4 GB internal memory is lack in internal storage, and fragile for the phone to be slow in working because it runs out of space.



Several months later, the price of S920 keeps corrected along with the emergence of other IdeaPhone choice, like Lenovo S980 and P780 which until today still becomes most favorite type because of the fantastic battery endurance. Even from the latest writers observation, Lenovo S920 now can be bought only with price Rp. 2.499 million (official price), even there is also sold with RP 2.1 million or depreciated until Rp 1 million from the first time it was launched on last mid September 2013 (after circulated for 4 months in local market). There is a statement accusing this smartphone is lack of quality so the price keeps corrected.

Is it really true? Not really. Because according to the writer, S920 actually has become global brand smartphone, wide screen, quad score processor, 1 GB RAM which is worth to buy with its price now. Thing distracting is only on 4 GB version because its internal storage remains only 800 MB. It is very lack although it is provided with built-in storage with 1.5 GB capacity. The solution is it takes little effort to root and crack to do the repartition or directly buy 8 GB variant which is offered more expensive. So actually there is no problem from S920 price that keeps dropping? Not really because it turns out that Lenovo Indonesia has prepared its successor, Lenovo S930 which comes earlier.

It seems like Lenovo Indonesia doesnt want to wait for long to update their local products. From Lenovo S890 to S920, they only give break only around 6 months. It also happens with Lenovo S920 successor. Although we hear it the first time, Lenovo S930 on last early December 2013, in Indonesia that giant smartphone has been circulated starts from this last February 2014 in several big cities in Indonesia.





Yep, Lenovo S930 has been released in Indonesia and it is the reason why Lenovo S920s price keeps dropping. As we have ever written before, Lenovo S930 still continues the concept of entertainment series which is positioned for all S series line. Especially for 9xx series, the other identity is widescreen. Lenovo S920 has been satisfying for us who need dual SIM smartphone configuration, quad-core, HD screen and 1 GB RAM, so for this successor the touching screen becomes wider. The screen size widens become 6 inch which is very suitable to target other rival producers who have equal ability, like Galaxy Mega 6.3 or Huawei Ascend Mate. However Lenovo S930 has more points, it has two SIM Slots. Even in terms of performance with new chipset, Lenovo S930 is further leaving its rivals.

Lenovo S930 becomes second Android Lenovo which comes officially to Indonesia besides Lenovo A850 which uses one of MediaTek new chipsets confirmed on last November 2013, that is MediaTek MT6852. This chipset proposes four Cortex-A7 core processor on 1.3 GHz speed, which develops trhough 28nm process, and paired with GPU Mali-40MP (with 2 core but the speed is 500 MHz) also memory 1GB RAM which has 533 MHz speed. Writer has chance to test that chipset and the AnTuTu benchmark test results score about 16-17thousands and for Quadrant benchmark can be more than 6 thousands.


Lenovo S930

Besides chipset, Lenovo who is previously known stingy in giving internal storage now directly provides 8 GB ROM, which is by default has been repartitioned becomes 4.4 GB internal storage (available for us for about 2.5 GB) also built-in storage for about 2.8 GB. That allocation has been enough for users to install application and games which are only installed only internal. That memory can be added through micro SD with maximum claim 32 GB (however it can accept micro SD until 64 GB).

Although offers some improvements, Lenovo only charges it with price Rp 3.3 million or equal with S920 price when firstly released in Indonesia. With specifications offered, Lenovo S930 obviously becomes more interesting choice compared with other rivals which also rely on 6 inch screen.
